Photographer's Note
Assortment at Siti Khadijah market
Kota Bharu sits at the northeastern corner of the Malaysian Peninsula, on the east bank of the broad and muddy Sungai Kelantan. Like many tourists, we stopped by on our way to the Perhentian Islands. The city has its share of historical buildings (now largely museums) plus a few temples in the surrounding countryside. However, given the time we had and the mood of the day, we headed for the excellent market.
I had seen several pictures from the Pasar Besar (big market) Siti Khadijah before going there. It seems to be a well photographed place. With reason because the place abounds with photogenic subjects.

Bonjour Claude,
Being a foodie traveller and very much into all things Asian, this is my kind of shot. Mmmm...how I love the natural abundance in Asian fresh markets. I can smell this shot.
I like how the woman in the picture is almost in camouflage.

Salut Claude! This IS an interesting place for photographers but even more if you like to cook. Okay, I could leave out the dry fish part :))) but otherwise it would be interesting to find out what you could do with the products and yes the chili, I guess some are very very hot. Interesting photo, you can hardly see the woman between this wide choice of things. Well done, I like it a lot. Have a good night, Barbara.

Hello Claude,
I love the POV looking down, and this photo is filled with so many interesting details. We can see so many of the local foods, and they create a mosaic of colors and textures to enjoy. The saleswoman brings the whole scene to life.

Fantastically presented with the idea. I love these and you'd have met here with many more such cases which can not be ignored.
