Hi Bill, Is it this golden flower you showed earlier? Very interesting architecture. Beautiful light and nice colours. As to POV, I would prefer without these buildings - the blue one and this on the right. Is it a temple?

Hi Bill,

The point of view is taking our eys toward the building in the background. It is also allowing us to see the details an colors of the architecture of the building. That building is framed by other types of obstructions. The sky is sending a light which has a special effect on the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Bill,
Interesting one for your PfB series. I'm sure there are many who can learn from it. Colorful and a bit soft probably due to the lens being wide opened. Distractions yes but a good documentary photo of the changing landscape of your city. I would clone out that tiny piece of lamp jutting in on the middle right frame. Regards. Latiff.

but my question is, if you cann't shoot the best POV cann't you reframme the view in a second time? I make you a WS to shoe you my POV! hope I don't broke your work and reflection!

beautiful architecture, the image has the perfect pov, framing, loght and colors. I would like to modify that advertising, making the wall white, I guess it is a littlke bite distractive. anyway it is a marvelous work

hello Bill
I know this building very well,but first,I didn't recognize it because of the blue container box!The DOF is not very important and I thought that it was the same building,blue walls with the same roof than the new parliament building!The effect is strange and funny,and the light of the end of afternoon give nice warm colours!

The architecture is great except for the blue box in the foreground. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The off center placement of the building works well with the painted wall providing balance.

Hi Bill,
what a complicated but interesting picture :) the main building which is surrounded by so many details... almost chaotic, but not really :) I like it how they all, taken together, finally realize themselves in that dome of a golden tint - the dome which is reaching for the sky.
First of all, the colours - tere's a very good balance among them all! The lighting - I find it perfect for such conditions. As far as I can see, the evening colours were very well retained in the shot.

Hi Bill,

Interesting combination of forms, roofs and colours. I did read your info and don’t agree fully with what you write about the best POV. If you only want to accentuate the modern building you are right, but this image has more to show than that. There is a lovely contradiction in form and colours in this POV with the other buildings in front. The low evening sun accentuate this moody image.

Hi Bill,
Beautiful, Beautiful light here for a wonderful photograph session. Well sometimes it nice to include some of the other things in the area, though to many it may not consider to be desirable elements in a composition, Like other tourist in front of a monument but at time they do make interest and different composition. and somtimes it give the essense of the area and touch of reality. We can truely avoid a lot so things we don't like to see in our photo, it even give people a wrong impression. This is a really nice shot and well composed to include all the element and yet is look like it all work together as one beautiful composition.

After reading your note I have to disagree with you, POV may be nice, but in the case of your picture above, I think that the structures add to DOF and make the shot more interesting. If I would had made the picture I don't know. Apart from the beautiful light it does not speak for itself. Said that I think, that your picture is technically speaking well composed and executed.

Hi Bill.

How could I miss this post. I'm sure the scene looks very different now. We have talked about this lens and I don't mind owning this if I have yet to have a 70-300. I shoot more within this range than before as the view is getting more and more interesting. You have played with the light well and the contrast of the blue cabin and the ad board is beautiful. You should have kept this and framed as this is part of the history by now.

It has been nice listening to all your amazing stories and how our life changed by all the previous events... making us a lot wiser, I guess.

Thanks for sharing this image and everything else and best regards to you in 2010.
