Photographer's Note
Not only the French and the Baguette cannot be separated but also the Indochinese love the long French bread, a relic from the colonial time, when the French ruled Indochina. Consequently the Baguette is omnipresent in Vientiane as well. Early morning motorcycles heavily loaded with Baguettes transport the still oven warm bread from the countless bakeries to the hawkers at the roadside where they sell their famous and well loved Baguette sandwich.

Hello Urs - this is a really comical sight, and I'm surprised the bike can still operate with all of this hanging off it. A really unique capture, thanks.

Hello Urs,
You see people riding round our local village with baguettes on their bikes, but never as many as here! Superb capture of this opportune moment.

I think our road police can't to see easy to similar scene on the streets. What about safety on the road?
Good capture of the local daily life, Urs. TFS!
This model of scooter is very very popular in Laos. I just remember these details of design.
I have agree with you. I have use two computers (home and work) with different settings. It gives me some problem with the colors&sharpness perception.
have a great new week!

Hello Urs
Imagine the disaster in case of messenger fall!!
I presume they use anti-pollution masks as they do in Bangkok. Not easy to drive a motorcycle in town with such a wide load!
Thanks for this exotic and colourful piece of Laos.
Cheers.
Robert
