Photographer's Note
Just a few 100 meter river up, the scenery looks even more picturesque. Without haze it would be an impressive karst stone maintain range, so it is more a range of blue mountain. Unfortunately it was never raining, so there was just the hot sun, loads of dust and the haze. To go upriver you have to trek or ride a boat. Roads have not been build in this part of Laos, where you will see more hill tribes then Laotians.

Another nice view of the river..The trees and the leaves makes a nice framing with the mountain in the BG. Good composition.

Hi Urs. You are showing an aptitude for landscape photography with the selected POV that features the bend in the river, the shrubs and reeds in the foreground nad of course the star attraction- the mountain range. Lovely light and colours. Regards. Klaudio.

The bending river draws the view into the scene and gives the image depth, helped by the foreground tree. I like the soft hazy light and understated colours.

namaste, this place must be enjoyable... A calm and serene place which is surely possesses some adventurous elements. I am not sure that there are some problems in colour tone, but I think it doesn't hamper this good composition. Thanks for sharing.

This is a beautiful view of this wild river in a great scenery of tropical moutains . I like the vegetation in the FG , but , may be that the branches on the left are not so esthaetical .

The typical landscape with karst topography & the Xong River (they call river as Ou in Lao) or Xong Ou winding its way through the valley...light is strong but quite well managed!
