Photographer's Note
This sturdy bridge over the Xong river in Vang Vieng is the first bridge I saw, where everybody has to pay a toll, even the pedestrian! However if the saffron clothed monk had to pay, I have no idea. Normally monks can travel free, as they are not supposed to have any money. Once again the haze transformed the shot a bit, but not too much, perhaps it also boosted the romantic flair.

Interesting note here...that goes nice with the frame captured..the monk crossing over...The haze really adds up the mood. The toll collection center would have completed the story..

Hello Urs,
The haze in fact results in a quite sublime light. The monk makes an excellent focal point. Good exposure control retaining detail in the shadow areas whilst avoiding over-exposure in the area of the sky.

Hello Urs,
nice the view as the presentation of the bridge in the frame, with the sunset colour tints of the sky to make the whole scenery so inviting and unique.I like its placement in the frame as adds depth in it.

Hi Urs
Lovely to view how the stunning solitary fig smoothly leads the way into the scene and you lower pov and the layout extend the depth and perspective. The pinkish colour of the sky is always attractive which also creates a good color contrast in particular to green and colour of the backdrop karst mountains. Your timely shot is admired, Well done.
Best regards

Hi Urs
Another shot with excellent compo
I like the pastel colors in the sky, the greenery at FG, the long perspective of the bridge and of course the eye catching red of the robe of the monk very well placed in the compo

Dear Urs
The bridge is quite unique...lots of wire around with the famous & distinctive karst formations towering over in the BG. The monl with his distinct orange robe stands out! Very interesting picture indeed!
Best Regards

Hello Urs
The skies and foreground finery joined to rock silhouette compose a lovely setting for the "spider web" that keeps prisoner a red monk!
Cheers.
