Photographer's Note

Many visitors would never miss catching the amazing sunsets of Luang Prabang, notable for its romantic and magical appeal. The best vantage point is the summit of Mount Phousi at the center of town but because of this, it is always crowded. The summit indeed has a wonderful views of the east and west side of Luang Prabang. You could see mountains surrounding the town. On the West side is the mighty Mekong River while on the East side runs the Nam Khan River.

This twilight scene was taken from the same peak but from a location away from the crowds, as can be seen in the picture of the setting sun on the left. It was a solitary moment for me but was very satisfied having to observe and photograph one of the most beautiful moments.
