It was taken in Nara this spring,I happened to met their spring picnic groups.The boys seemed happy and excited about the trip.

angela, i like this shot very much! i like the composition going from the top left down to the right with this group almost a triangle, i like the vivid tone of red a,d the overall attitude of this bunch of kids.. two flaws for me tough : all feet were cut , but this is acceptable for me, and above all, i hate this postcard type framing. it is so strong that my attention is diverted from the image. it would deserve a simpler frame, without a text. A real pity !
i tried a ws to get rid off this.. hope you'll like too;-)

I like it too. Like eleparc, I do not care with cutting legs : they are not so important for that kind of composition.
I like the "group" effect, kind of school portrait. Kids are lively.
I like the contrast with the deep red.
And finaly I like the "post card frame" that reinforce the contrasts.

I mostly agree with the other comments above, but I would add that the one kid with the closed eyes is distractinb (b/c he is in the centre), also it seems a little unbalanced (heavy to the left). If you had been able to capture one of them close up on the right with the group as they are to the left this would be a terrific image.
