Photographer's Note
Now, it is the beginning of the season of cherry blossom! ---but, this picture is not this year's one. Blossoms are not full bloom yet now.
I don't like to drink SAKE and do KARAOKE under the cherry blossom. I like to wander between the trees under the warm spring sun.
I took this picture in front of the Kaidan-In, a part of the Todai-ji Buddhist temple complex. Kaidan-in was founded in 755 by Ganjin (ch:Jian Zhen), a monk from China. It is the building for the Monks bestow the Vinaya(monastic rules) on their pupils. Existing building is the reconstruction in the 18th century.

Hallo Keitaro!
Like here in Germany, bloom of trees begins, but in Japan it obviously has another meaning to people. I heard and read that cherry blossom is something like a festival. In your photo I like the calm and somehow solemn atmosphere...
Have a nice day!
Frank
