Photographer's Note

Cherry Blossoms or Sakura in Japanese are in full bloom in this part of Japan. The flowers are like pink cotton candy during their peak when viewed from afar. The geographical location affects the time of blooming. The warmer the climate, the earlier the blossoms will open. The Japanese celebrate this time of the year with hanami or Cherry blossom viewing. The pink flowers usually will only last for about a week before they fall.
