Photographer's Note

Akashi-Kaikyō bridge connects the two islands of Honshu and Awaji. From a view of administration the Honshu site of the bridge belongs to Kobe, although it is quite a piece away from Kobe city, rather beeing in Maiko, close to Akashi and Kakogawa.

The bridge is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, with the central span beeing 1990 m, the total length around 3911 m.

The area around the bridge is heavily industrialized, especially the coastal area. After some searching i found this little spot of stone beach and there were even some tiny waves.

I had to tilt the original image a little bit, that's why the top of the bridge is a little bit close to the upper end of the image than i actually wanted.
