Photographer's Note
This little guy was "sleeping" while standing and seemed to enjoy the dozens of people taking close-up shots of him. Reminds me of Lovelace in the movie, "Happy Feet." Taken at the Asahikawa Zoo. I like how this telephoto became sort of macro. The L lens sharpness and color rendition really stand out. (Photo taken handheld)

Great closeup, but i would liked maybe to see more off him? othe than that, amazing what a good lens can do. great sharpness and clarity without all of the graininess that comes with alot of zoom shots. even the water drops add character and depth to the picture!! keep it up!

Nice shot -- do you know what kind of bird this is? I am a glutton for punishment, but I decided to workshop this one to sharpen it and brighten up the colors a bit.
