Photographer's Note
I was lucky to be in Aomori at the peak of the cherry blossoms blooming season. Like snow fall everywhere. Wonderful. If you visit Japan there is a wide period for the blossoms to show - as South Japan seasons differ from North - thus as you head north each major city has it’s week or more of independent bloomings. In this photo Hirosaki Castle hides behind the blossems and provides the uniquely Japanese way in nature in a blend of roof slopes and tree branches. There are many many trees within the park surrounding the castle. Small bridges, water ponds, and quiet seating places abound in the park. The Japanese understand beauty. Thanks for viewing; drt100 David

Hello David,
Your focus is mainly on the cherry blossom which is beautiful in its fragile abundance but it is also a very well composed photograph, the well placed thick branches creating a sense of depth and contrast, whilst the building is also, very well positioned, compositionally , in the frame.
It is no surprise, when you look at this, that there are now Japanese cherry trees all over our country, providing spring colours and an prelude to summer!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi dear David
You were so lucky to be thereat the peak of SAKURA opening. As you see, Aomori Pref. is located at the north edge of Honshuu island, so peaking time is fractuated evey year and so difficult to predict the peaking time. Recently Sakura trees grow so big and branches disturb the landscape, but I am sure you enjoyed youself so much there.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hello DAvid,
wonderful abundant blossoming. I like the way you show the castle, hiding as you say, but still in the sunshine.
Thanks and regards,
Gerrit

Hello David,
I like the cherry blossoms blooming season in Japan.
Our friend Takero show us every year nice images.
Your picture is absolutely very nice with the tree and building between the blossoms.
Composition and presentation are pleasant to look at.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,

Hello David,
This picture was taken in the far north of the island of Honshu where the sakura indeed blooms almost a month later than in the south of the island.
You've composed this photo very well with the diagonal line of the trunk in the upper left corner and with the sakura surrounding the castle at two sides.
A very pretty view of the dark branches running through the light pink blossoms.
Best regards, Paul
