Photographer's Note
A very simple shot of tree roots weaving in and out of rocks by the seaside. Taken on an overcast day the lighting was perfect for this type of photo..
I developed the film using the developer Ilford ID-11, three parts water and one part stock solution to get less contrast and many more rich tones. I printed this in the wet darkroom and it was a beautiful straight print, no dodging or burning.
I took this photo on August 9th on the annaversary of the bomb being dropped in Nagasaki..... as the sirens sounded at 11:02 AM I just had this very humble, sad and lonely feeling inside.... I stopped to think if these tree roots were small at the time and they must have some history behind them.

Interesting composition!
good choice in B&W, i like it.
to be honestly, i'm here (watching ur galley) co'z of ur critique about written note for photo. here, in TE, sometime i can't imagine some photos. of couse the photo is perfect and beautiful, but with photographer's note (in technical or how he was, when he took this photo and etc..) is more perfect. just i think! isn't?
anyway, u have intresting photos.
TFS, regards,
Hlaing.
