Jizo-e (or Jizo-bon) is a ceremony and a festival dedicaed to Jizo (Ksiti-garbha), a Buddhist guardian deity of children. At Jizo-e, people pray for the safety and happiness of children.

Hallo Keitaro!
A beautiful picture and in combination with your note an interesting one. The row of candles (or oil lamps) leading to the man works very well. I think children of today need prayers more than ever before ...Greetings from warm (not hot) and sunny Germany!

Hi Keitaro! Nice one, i like very much the difference of colours, over the candle orange colour and over a man light blue, it looks perfect for me! Great picture!
