16/18 The floating Torii
The symbol of a shrine is its gate, or Torii. It represents the division between the everyday world and the divine world.
Maybe this is one of the most famous Torii in Japan. You can find in the little island of Miyajima. This island is considered sacred land and in the past all the ships had to cross this gate if they wanted to go in this place.

hi Ricard. Very nice composition with nice motive. Dark lake and yellow gate contrast make good combination.

Hello Ricard,
A different POV to show this famous Torii of Miyajima. The light on it makes it shine and stand out against the dark forested hills and the lake.
Best regards, Paul

hi Ricard
Very extraordinary capture of the glow on this shrine.
I would probably title it as Shining Shrine.
Great work.
