Koinobori and Mt.Fuji
Today 5, May is Children's Day in Japan, people rise "Koinobori (a flag that's shaped like a kind of fish called a carp) from April through early May for Children's Day (originally Boys' festival). the carp symbolizes courage and strength because of its ability to swim up a waterfall.Koinobori comes from townspeople in the Edo era (1603~1867).The meaning of the Koinobori is that parents hope their children will grow up to be healthy,that they will rise up in the future as the carp becomesadragon.
