Photographer's Note
This is another picture, taken same time and of the same subject as this photo.
This one is a little better exposed and therefore also have more details in it.
I have uploaded a WS in color of a 3rd version, lesser exposed.

Hi Harry,
I liKe very much your shot! I think the crop is good, as composition: very close on the action!
And the B&W fits very well.
Bye, Chiaretta

Hi Harry,
The B&W is a very good idea there as it goes deeper in the industrial world you present here. Grey is somehow a metal color. Did you do HDR PP? 'Cause it seems hard to obtain the 3D effect presented here. Anyway, the composition is excellent, detailed but not messy with a frame inside the frame (the bars, and stairs make another frame, where we feel to look into like through a tiny lock hole).
Thanks for this original pov.
Pris.

I'm wandering what is look like this photo in COLOR variant, great work anyway, good contrast, just like HDR in B&W technique

hi Harry
i love your 'working hands' serie :)
as always i'm impressed by the way you convert it into B&W
the play of light in that case is a very good occasion

Chaque élément est à sa place dans ce petit espace où la 3D est donnée par les lignes et les reflets/ombres ! Formidable cliché !

Harry, I love the tonal levels on this B&W! Can you let us in on our secrets in achieving such a great B&W effect?
Well done!

Hello Harry,
I liked your previous photo of this welder, but this one is as you say more detailed and also does a great job of conveying the intense brightness of the welding arc. Great use of "clarified" BW, although I also like the colour version in the WS with its strong red tones.

Excelent couple of daily life shots, Harry. Love the management of light with all the grey tones. It sure have more details than the other, but I also like the darkness of the other and the more sharp fire sparks. This one seems like an explosion - on the other one you can see better what's he doing. And the color version, even better.

Hi Harry,
Excellent B&W conversion. Those soft grey tones are working perfectly.
Cheers
