Photographer's Note
Many countries and cities in the world have their symbol with flower, like Japan with Sakura, Macau with Lotus, Holland and Ottawa city as a capital of Canada choosing Tulip flower as their symbol.
Since last year Jakarta as a capital of Indonesia have chose four flowers as symbol and one of these is Plumeria-Plumiera Acuminata (others are Bougenvillas-Bougainvillaea, Canna Orientalis and Oleander-Nerium Oleander).
This shot is my second picture from the same tree in my frontyard, First blooming is the best moment to capture this beautiful flower which bigger size and perfect petals. I like alot this kind of flower, it has a strong character, good smell, long lasting and beautiful. Enjoy :-)

Good shot Daniel. When I first looked at it I thought this may be one more for TN...but your note works in well for TE, giving us a story that goes with a country behind the flower.
Composition is perfect. Colors are good and the greenery in the background (as well as the whole background) is perfect. A really good looking shot. A simple flower shot brought to life by your choice of how to show it combined with the note.

Your note is interesting about 4 chosen flowers for Jakarta. Colours are pleasant & contrast good with the green leaves. I know the strong but beautiful smell...frangipani grows a lot in our country too.

my frist impression looking into the thumbnail was that it is a pretty good shot but probably better to be posted to TN. However, your exemplary note gives an additional tone that fits quite well into TE. I'm pretty amazed with the sharpness that you got with the f/3.5. Something that I'm terribly struggling through my posts of shots done during summer.

i have the same tree in my garden..is my feavorit thing in summer here always i pass from this and i smell the flowers...and when they feld down i picup and i put it in one glass of water to live a little more...tfs my frend this beauty..rgrds

We call these flowers Frangipani ... I miss the sweet smell of this flower... just reminds you of the tropics. They are a real feature in any garden. Lovely grouping ... well composed. Very good sharpness and contrast. Balanced color saturation and soft lighting. Excellent work! tfs
