Photographer's Note
Looking down upon a person is not a pov I often go for, but here I wanted to include the flowers this woman is painting.
---
Hand decorated clothes are big business in Indonesia. Traditional batik is often done by machines these days, but there are still some real artisans at work.
This picture shows a woman at work in central Yogjakarta.

Dag Benny

Hello Benny,
The work she is doing is quite beautiful and her posture and clothes attract my attention. The light is also very agreeable. Being left-handed is normal to her, but she looks rather awkward sitting like this with her work beside her on the floor. I am inclined to think that Rob's WS makes her look more comfortable - or maybe just makes my eyes more comfortable.
Kind regards,
Gert

I admire this talented a woman, she painted simply on the ground, without a table or easel and then with the left hand, I like the design and colors,

Hi Benny
This a great pop, it's great that we can see the creation of the art and also see the studious look on the ladies expression. A colorful and calm image. Really well seen
Cheers

Dear Benny,
Nice genre, but I have to agree with Gert that Rob's WS is way more natural to the eyes. At least for mine. :)
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hi benny. Yes, time is money and skills shown in this photo are becoming less and less frequent. So much is lost to expedience and cheap imports. Traditions are dying all around the globe as are the forests and seas- all in a race for bells and whistles, plastic crap we don't need. Special light and a particular POV have made this image memorable. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Hi dear Benny
Great shot, another typical Indoesian image. Yes this is "Batik Tulis", I know so well and have many collection inmy house. Leaning and cropping makes so ideal framework. This shot makes me remember my stay in Indonesia.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hi Benny
That's mega talented 'batik' artist at work and there is something very appealing - love her bare feet - so relaxed and intimate with sufficient illumination of subtle side lighting, illustrating peace and calm of this space as seen from this viewpoint. The detail is immaculate and the vignetting effect works a treat
coupled by the glorious colours, shades and shadows. This superbly exposed in tricky light and. It seems that I have run out of adjectives to describe your high quality work, so I am going to have to use my language, "Anggun Bangat" !!!!
Best wishes
