Exactly Ladakhi beauty, you have succeeded in showing her more beautifully by burning the background.
I met a girl of vegetable vendor just like her in Leh after 22 years. The background seems to be fairly different from present.

I agree with "kschanna"'s remark: "In our fast paced western lives, we tend to forget that life is simple". There's beauty in such simplicity, and most probably you have a talent to reveal it in your photos.

Just wonderful environmental portrait and perfect timing, I always think that you can tell a lot from peoples eyes and their faces. Here her face brightens up everthing into a huge hint of smile looking away from your lens. But there's something special about this portrait that I love; her powerful hypnotic eyes being the most appealing coupled by her exotic features that say so much and the impact rendered obviously pulls the eyes in and stands out vividly. in some aspects she isn't a typical example of indian woman, could be even be a russian or an english one, etc.. nice the softness of her smile and the perfect framing catching her products.

What a great street shot that a random choice of images on in your gallery has revealed, otherwise I would have missed it.
I like the lady's pose and how you filled the foreground with the vegetables. Everything - her clothes and her merchandise speak of a humble life and yet they are quietly beautiful.
Can't decide whether I would have cropped the top of the image to create a completely neutral background, after all a window is an important part of a Ladakh street.
