Photographer's Note
This is another post from the Himalayan ranges, taken very early. I felt silence around me that I had never experienced before. Not even a bird was chirping. The vast ranges lay ahead of me, with no sound.
I want to dedicate this shot and this silence to remember Sir Edmund Hillary.

Hi Shaeri,
You have chosen a beautiful view as a dedicace to Sir Edmund Hillary, I like the different mounts and valleys progressively fadind away in the far and in the clouds : splendid view, certainly a place well worth visiting !
Have a great weekend and thank you for your kind words (I knew my today's photo would not have much success - this way, less stress to answer the critiques ! ;-)),
Best regards,
Cath.

Hi Shaeri
This is a wonderful tribute and the image is a study in diagonal lines that draw our eyes into the heart of this scene. Thanks for getting up early before the birds.

Hi Shaeri,
Depth of blue hour in the Himalaya is beautifully captured and nicely presented here. The layers of mountain gives us a different kind of feeling where all mundane matters become meaningless. The no sound effect in Himalaya opens the gate to delve down to explore your true inner self.
Excellent work and a great dedication to a great Himalayan lover.

I can really feel what you are describing. Remembers me so much from himalayan treks, the feeling of immensity, the feeling of nothing else but silence. Great blue colours. A beautiful one.

Hi, Shaeri. Nice of you to dedicate this picture to Sir Edmund Hillary, who was not only a brilliant alpinist, but also a great man. I like to see all those ridges coming down in diagonal lines and giving an excellent structure to your picture. Putting the tow darker ridges in the foreground gives depth and contrast. Experiencing silence has become something very rare. In the mountains, you can always hear a stream or some kind of noise. So, the silence here must have been a moment to remember. I think I've experienced the best silence in Finland, where everything was covered in snow. I remember the place and the moment very well...

Wonderful shot in these glorious blue tones. I love all the intersecting diagonals and the way the mountains fade as they recede into the background. Good work

Wonderful Shaeri...this is really a moody one! The depth is fantastic as one layer follows another to the depths of the valley. Idea of dedicating to Sir Hillary is a good one & this is a fitting tribute IMO to the great mountaineer. Good work Shaeri

Hi Shaeri
I am impressed with your gallery's landscape shots, a good professional style.
This is a nice morning capture of cool mood from the misty ranges and soft blue. Mornings are always a bit quiet even for a photographer.
A bit dark in exposure, probably very dim light condition there. Best wishes for your research work, combined with photography.
Great work. TFS (Shaeri is a girl's name?)

The blue tonality of the intense one, offers certain dramatic quality to the scene, but the geometric forms produced by the lines of mountains, are I magnify. Good work, congratulations

Hi Shaeri,
This is a nice dedication to Sir Hillary. But, I wonder whether those blue tints were really present there or is that something due to postprocessing. This also lacks a bit sharpness in my opinion.

Shaeri,
quite remarkable blue tones that you got here. My first impression that you placed the WB into the tungsten range, but in your discussion with Sayan I see that you attribute it to the polarizer filter and the early morning. Good sense of depth, although Something in the foreground to frame the shot would have given an even better sense of depth.
The dedication is appropriate! Sir Hillary wasn't just the guy that put his feet first on top of the Everest, but also the first that cared about the Sherpas. I could see myself how much he did when I went to the Khumbu region many years ago.

Hello Shaeri,
very nice the shot from the Himalayan ranges,in this hour of the day,and that never seen before from this POV and hour. A first rate panoramic capture of Himalayan Mt,indeed, it is so much better to provide the expansive horizontal view here with the clouds to cover the mountains tops..Well done Shaeri.

Hello Shaeri,
How appropriate it is to dedicate this image to the memory of Sir Edmond Hillary. I remember the incredible feat of Hillary and Tenzing, and 4-5 years ago I met Tenzing's son who has climbed Mt. Everest several times. Warm regards,

Hi Shaeri. A fitting tribute to Sir Edmund. Dreamy and romantic. I could sense the eerie silence. Perhaps the silent surroundings added some undefined touch to the shot -- more to feel than to see. Well conceived. Thanks for such nice presentation. Regards.

Hi Shaeri,
that's a wonderful tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary.
A really nice shot with a beautiful dof and the game between the multiple V made by the mountains leading the eye towards the mystic clouds sorrounding the edges. I hope one day to have the chance to feel that silent silence.
Thanks for sharing this!

Hello Shaeri,
how simple and how beatiful are the mounts bordering the valley in V-shape. Every mount in different distance and in different tone of blue and somehow one feels the immense depth and calmness.
