Going home...., a photo from Goa, West

Photographer's Note

After a month in the Paris winter, I'm back in milder climates.... A small stroll around my house at sunset time where I met this buffalo herdsman with whom I had a little chat, then as the night was nearing, he went home with his water buffaloes, egrets flying around him.. there was a warm, late afternoon light, and only the sound of birds...

Après un mois passé dans l'hiver Parisien, me revoilà dans mon élément! Une petite ballade autour de chez moi, une rencontre avec un vacher extrêmement sympathique avec lequel on a discuté cinq minutes, après quoi, il s'est éloigné dans la lumière du couchant, des aigrettes volant autour de lui... Seul le chant des oiseaux interrompait le silence...

Une belle prise de vue du vacher et de ses bêtes s'éloignant sous une lumière qui me plait bien. J'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère paisible qui se dégage et les couleurs superbement rendues. Ça va dans mon thème ;)

Bien content de retrouver ton pays d'adoption j'ai l'impression. C'est une très belle scène exotique pour nous mais combien authentique. C'est une belle image de la vie quotidienne, très nette et agréable à la vue.

J'imagine comme il doit être bon de rencontrer "l'été" après l'hiver glacial de l'Europe. C'est une cène attirante. J'aime bien l'atmosphère bucolique et la lumière très chaude. Le POV est très bien choisi.

J'ai un peu de mal à imaginer de voir ou vivre cela, le soir, en marchant autour de chez soi... Je suis habitué à des ambiances urbaines, du gris... et ça, tous les jours, et ça "son élément", je trouve cela très troublant...
Un beau moment de "tous les jours", donc...

A 2008 shot from Goa! I can feel the warmth and relaxation that comes with this image. Amazing how the man, water buffaloes and the egrets came together as if they are marching towards Noah's Ark. Could perhaps crop the bottom a bit, well, maybe not. Regards,

apres les rigueurs de l'hiver français, la douceur indienne doit te paraitre bien agréable. un grand ecart entre la vie parisienne et cette nouvelle terre d'accueil que tu nous illustres calme et douce. la demarche tranquille de cette homme au milieu de son troupeau et de ces superbes aigrettes en dit long sur la serenité de l'instant !!

Que les couleurs sont belles sur cette photo. Tu as beneficie sans aucun doute d'une lumiere extra qui te permet en meme temps d'obtenir un niveau de details impressionant. Une superbe atmosphere, un tres beau travail.

Bonjour, cher Laurent,
J'ai l'impression d'entrer de plain-pied dans ce monde inconnu. J'aime le rendu des couleurs (l'on dirait une image extraite d'un film). Tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour former une excellente photographie.
L'ambiance est parfaitement reproduite ici. Une vie différente de celle de Paris et de ses environs, c'est sûr ! ;o)

C'est une vue toute simple et pourtant, j'adore ces couleurs et cette scène paisible - l'arrière pays à Goa est splendide et la plupart des visiteurs ne quittent pratiquement pas les plages, ils manquent quelque chose ! (Je regrette un peu que tu n'aies pas cadré plus vers le haut mais ce qu'on voit ici est vraiment très beau !)

Intéressant de lire à quel point l'Inde constitue profondément ton lieu d'attache.

Très sympa cette photo, avec une très belle lumière, chaude et douce.Il y a un léger brouillard qui flotte dans l'air et qui crée une atmosphère exotico-paisible, si tu vois ce que je veux dire... :-P) Belle netteté et une palette de couleurs tout en subtilité.

Puisque je ne l'ai pas encore fait, j'en profite pour te souhaiter une excellente année Laurent!

You caught some beautiful light here. There is a nice warm red glow over the image which i like a lot. The title is well choosen, just as your framing with lots of information to the landscape.
Exposure and sharpness (the Sigma seems to be a good one) is spot on...really nice work you present here.
