Photographer's Note

This road leads to a place called Dhotre (2700 mts) from manebhanjan(2134 mts)..on way to Rimbick from Darjeeling which is 68 Kms.

Our jeep had a flat tyre and thats the time when I took this photograph. The trees and the bushes engulfed in thick fog with the wet road and chilling conditions was an amazing feeling in itself.

Dhotre is a small settle ment from where the trek to sandakphu is mush easier and faster.Lots of trekkers are now starting the trek from Dhotre to Tumling which is just 2.5 hrs walk before continuing to garibas then kaiyakata, kaalpokhri, beekaybhanjan and then to sandakphu.

the road from Manebhanjan to Dhotre is not very good but one can feel raw nature here with lots of fog and pine trees all over the place. The true sense of being in the mountains is felt to the bones..!!!

Enjoy the ride...!!!!
