Photographer's Note

Facade from one of the Gopurams or entrances of the big temple of Chidambaram.

Chidambaram is well known in Tamil Nadu for two reasons, first one is that, in this temple lies the original Nataraja statue, the cosmic dance of Shiva.

You all have seen a statue of shiva, dancing inside a circle, and with a human figure laying under his feet that means the ego, and Shiva destroying it, and the circle, meaning the whole universe and a proyection of the dance of shiva.

Also Chidambaram is well known for being one of the temples representing one of the five elements of the universe, in this case, the element is called "Akash". Meaning the ether or space, the only one that can not be seen.
