Photographer's Note

This was just after the big festive season in West Bengal. We were roaming around the Ghats of the River Hooghly. Suddenly I saw this little boy seating on the stairs of the Ghat and looking towards the water constantly. Probably he was looking at the debries and the remainings of the idols that were immersed in the Hooghly river just recently. He was recollecting the memories of the past few days which were gone in a flash with lots of light, enthusiasm, enjoyment and life. Probably he was thinking of those beautiful days that were gone.

Seeing him, I also recollected my memories of my childhood days. We all wait for those days to come and when they are over the state of mind was really sad. In a sense this whole situation on that particularday made me nostalgic.

I cropped it to remove some part from the bottom. Made it b/w and added some noise to give it a older look.
