Photographer's Note
This photo shows a vendor roasting Corn on beach side in Besant Nagar,Chennai. This is a scanned Image of a Hard Copy.
Corn is roasted on naked flame till it gets half crispy.Spicy 'masala' powder is spread with lime juice. -Slurp ..... :)
People who visit India gotta try this.
I knelt facing the wind and held my elbow locked instead of a tripod. This was an exposure for about 4 - 5 seconds.
Hope u like it.Thanks for visiting.

This really looks as if there's something alive on this picture with tentacles ;). I really like the long exposure and the abstract patterns it creates. Nicely done.

Hi Vikram, interesting image with much force, this very well the color of the sparks of the fire as they fly by the air, you used a very good tripod and it left a perfect composition to you.
Congratulations and a hug.........Paco

Belle photo de ce feu d'artifice de la vie de tous les jours. Il y a beaucoup d'idées pour arriver à un beau cliché mais les trouver et les faire partager c'est du bon travail !

Hi Vikram, Wow! wonderful! I imagined some other thing, like fireworks or a flower, when I saw the thumbnail. So this is...corn! Great! And I like the guy on the background. Cheers :) Daniel

Hey Vik,
Sweet shot here. I've done quite a bit of time long shutter speed night photography and then used PhotoPaint to grab bright regions minus the black and create some interesting artwork out of it. This looks like natural artwork without extra manipulation.
Too funny, roasting corn... I just knew from the thumbnail that it was going to be some sort of steel mill picture!

Hello Vikram,
It´s an excellent result for a handheld shot.
Your timing was perfect and it looks great against the dark background. The included person adds life and context.
Greetings,
Hermann

The reflection on the boy in the background gives the photo a warm feeling as I can feel the fires warmth on my own back.

I really like this one because it shows a very creative use of the camera. It shows something the naked eye cannot see, but you saw it in your mind and turned it into something very interesting. Well captured and totally cool effect. And well done for not overexposing this too.
