Photographer's Note
One of my own favourites!had to climb a tree to finally get the angle i was looking for.Almost fell off after taking the shot. Then probably would have been my last shot as i'm sure the lovely ele wouldn't have been too happy!

Welcome to TE Mohit! What an interesting shot. Its amazing to see a huge elephant allowing a human to lay on its head. Its actually quite sweet to see this relationship. Great POV (good thing you didn't fall out of the tree!) and colours. Thanks for sharing! :)

Hi Mohit, Welcome to TE with an absolutely stunning entree! The colours are simply outstanding and however dangerous your position in that tree must have been, it surely was worthwhile the shot as you have an exceptional angle here. It's like this man is almost climbing a tree as well to get his pampering job done! Absolutely brilliant! I look forward to your following posts! Sabine

A brilliant photo.
It's rare to see this kind of scene, and to capture this so good is a rare gift.
Almost abstract and so becoming very effective.

Bonjour Mohit & Welcome on TE.
Such a great point of view, and such stunning bright colour! Just great first posting...

* Important: I got already impressed of this picture on TrekLens... Which makes me telling you that you should be aware of TOS [point 10] - that does not allow to post on both TrekEarth & TrekLens, so you will have to choose on which site this image will stay... I think it will otherwise be desactivated soon.

Hi Mohit,
Nice picture ! I love this point of view and the wave reflections onto the ground. There seems to be a great complicity between the elephant and his keeper.
Well done, and thanks for sharing ;o)

excellent take. an effort worth all itself. nice framing, good natural colors. maybe you could have worked a bit on the sharpness, but considering the degree of difficulty shooting from above, this is really nice.
well done, Arnab

Il fallait trouver le bon angle de prise de vue et on a une photo superbe. Il est recommandé sur TE de ne pas remercier les critiques. Merci pour l'échange.

Amazing picture, Mohit! This one is a favorite! If there is something I admire, is a not-too-lazy photographer, who willing to risk his neck for a good capture!
:)
Original POV, good color and timing! Amazing how you can see the dirt disperse into the water!
Thanks for sharing!

A great shot Mohit;
The elephant looks like she's really enjoying it!
Having been around quite a few elephants in Indonesia, Malaysia & Thailand- you think I would have seen this scene before- but no.
While in Cambodia last year, I tried to follow the elephants to their local watering hole- but was told I wasn't allowed.
Cheers,
- Dan

I'm pleased you did not fall out of the tree, but even more pleased that you got the dseired result.
The murky green water is a lovely enclosure for the great elephant...you have positioned yourself well and presented the image nicely. Yes, the image could be sharper, but your story complements the end result very well.

Your picture is just great and I make it one of my favorites. You worked hard to make such an original picture. It convinces me each time that great pictures are not made by chance.
I also really enjoy the scene : to see a man taking care of an animal always fill me with joy. Its a relief to see it, in a world where compassion and respect for life is so rare.

Hi Mohit,
What an extraordinary photo - I love it instantly! The juxtaposed directions of the man & the elephant's bodies are I think what makes it such a fantastic shot, as well as the colours - the white of the shirt against the grey of the elephant against the incredible green of the water - an incredible composition. Worth taking the risk for!

Excelent POV! I love photos with animals and the colors are just great. I also like the green water and the reflections of the sun on the bottom!
