Photographer's Note
We spotted this lovely peak after crossing River Bhilangna near Chowki on our way to Mayali Pass in the Himalayas. The skyscape with an interesting pattern of clouds seemed to complement the beauty of the landscape. That was more than enough a reason for our cameras to start clicking...
Mayali Pass is located on the ridge separating the Bhilangna (a tributary of Bhagirathi) valley in Tehri Garhwal and the Mandakini Valley in Kedarnath region. The pass commands an awesome views of Himalayas right from Gangotri n Bhagirathi group of peaks in the west to Kedardome and Chaukhamba n eventually Nanda Devi n PanchChuli in the east.

This is a superb photo, Amal. When I first saw it among all the others I thought it was a painting. I have never seen such beautiful clouds. The frame also adds to the beauty of this shot. a+

Hi Amol,
This is a wonderful landscape !
The sky is incredible, the colors are vivid and the point of view is perfect.
Your post-processing work is fine and subtle.
The centered frame is good here because I cannot tell which of the sky and the mountain I would sacrifice : they are both interesting.

color contrast betwwen clouds and hill is making theis picture great. You are lucky to have this kind of cloud pattern at your disposal :-)
