Photographer's Note
The man was vending paddy saplings on his bicycle. Paddy is the main crop of Assam which is cultivated during the monsoon season. The location is a couple of kilometers from where I am posted at present (at a power station).
The WORKSHOP picture will give some idea of how these saplings are planted.
Both photos taken with my smartphone.

Hello Satya,
Although the WS photo gives us a very nice view of daily life in rural India and could have done well as a main upload, this is probably a more original photo. I have seen many photos of the saplings being planted in the wet fields, but rarely seen them brought to the village by bicycle. In a simple way it teaches me something. But mainly it's the young woman's nice smile, the colours she is wearing and her interaction with the salesman that make this photo so attractive. They were probably aware of your camera but don't seem to care.

I like this: a great rural daily life capture and such fantastic colours - especially the sparkling red of her sari in contrast to verdant green environment. The working bike & paddy samplings provide the link and story but what I love most is the lady's natural smile and that guy's effort. A lovely spontaneous capture and all appear very natural without eye contact and imho, that's the key success. Congrats

Hello Satya,
If other members are like me, they will enjoy learning about the agricultural practices of other countries. Al;though I knew how the plants were grown, I had never considered how the plants could be obtained. Your photographs are very informative.
They say mud is good for the skin; these people must have lovely skin! I can see on your main photograph the wet, muddy conditions, with people walking bare-foot.
Is the bicycle used for carrying the saplings?
I really like the genuine connection between these two. The lady begins the moment and what a fine composition the two make, the bicycle completing the trio in a triangle!
