Photographer's Note
‘Mumbai - Dr Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum’
In this museum the history of Mumbai is shown through about 3.500 different objects, such as photographs, maps, books, manuscripts, textiles, laquerware, pottery and weaponry.
Most interesting is that this museum is housed in a Renaissance revival style building from 1872 which has been renovated in 2008.

hello Paul Fantastic three pictures from this museum. Splendid interior, I hope that the collection is also worth seeing. I haven't heard about this building, but probably was in the renovation when I was in Mumbai in 2004. Superb symmetrical composition, nice inclusion of the people, splendid colours and light.

I was not aware of this museum and I have a suspicion I might find the collection not so very interesting. But obviously the building as such would make a visit well worth the effort. The architecture is amazing and you found a very good vantage point for this photo, looking up and down and a long way into the room downstairs. The blue, green and yellow tones are very appealing, the light is perfectly handled and there are enough people to satisfy even my demands for liveliness.

What a splendid building!
From this photograph and those in your w/s, we get an impression of its sumptuous decor.
You have chosen an aspect which creates an irresistible desire to follow the steps and enter the gallery to share the experience with the many other visitors.
These are three fine interior shots.
(I just get the feeling that the small child in w/s 2 is more interested in the floor tiles than anything else. Maybe she likes to play hopscotch!

Maar uw eerste WS foto is prachtig.
Het plafond en de zijkanten zin heel mooi gefotografeerd.

Wat een weelde in dit museum, de vele ornamenten van de trapleuningen, pilaren en het plafond zijn prachtig en heel mooi verlicht. De groene, blauwe en gouden kleuren gaan erg mooi samen. Erg goed fotowerk.

that view from the first floor is A++, this main post is A+ haha, both are worth of a main post, but I guess they're similar. Never seen this museum before, glad you posted it.

A great composition, with this great perspective, which on the one hand shows us the descent of the staircase and the beginning of the museum room and on the other, the ascent to the upper room with the view of the beginning of it, the artistic ceiling and columns.
Excellent POV, with very good lighting, color and sharpness to enjoy the details.

Hello Paul This two-stories capture constitutes a delight for the eyes, given the rigorous verticality on either side of frame, the HDR-like soft look and the exotic architecture adorned of pastels. Many compliments for this fine work.

Hi Paul,
Great composition showing two levels of the museum at the same time. I like people wearing the traditional colorful clothes. They add so much life to the scene. Nice wide vertically view stretching from ceiling on the top to the floor on the ground level.
