World Heritage Sites - Fatehpur Sikri
This was shot inside the palace of Akbar the great, who was a Mughal Emperor..
This LOWER HARMSARA is a large colonnaded enclosure, wrongly called Camel Stables, Elephant Stables & Horse Stables, was probably intended for Housing the Servicing Maids of the Ladies Palaces, for which an entrance was provided in the north. The stone rings may have been used for fixing curtains for partitioning the space.
Sikri was the first planned city of the Mughals
Akbar (1556-1605), shifted his residence and court from Agra to Sikri, for a period of 13 years, from 1572 to 1585 to honour the Sufi Saint Sheikh Salim Chishti, who use to reside nearby.
This is the second attempt at this site, in order to register the ray of sunlight coming through the spaces of Pillers. Have I succeded?

Beautiful play of light between columns, I like the perspective drived by the successive lines to the dark BG. I think that a bit more contrast would have underlined the rays of light.

Hi Kapil
Very well done, this is a fine scene and you have done superb to capture the ray of light as it breaks the scene like this. I find the view rather mysterious and quote ghostly, I would not be surprised to see a ghostly figure walking among this view. Very nicely done photo.
Best wishes
Noel
