Murshidabad - I
I am sorry for keeping myself away from TE for over a month now.I had a hectic schedule which kept me busy through out the month.I took a day off from my official works and spent an afternoon in the historical town of Lalbagh in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. This is the image of the famous Hazarduari Palace in the heart of the Lalbagh town taken on my I-phone 4S.
Some tidbits about the Hazarduari Palace :
Hazarduari Palace is located in the campus of Kila Nizamat in Murshidabad, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was built in the nineteenth century by architect Duncan Macleod, under the reign of Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa (1824–1838).The foundation stone of the palace was laid on August 9, 1829, and that very day the construction work was started. The palace has now been transformed into a museum which houses collections from the Nawabs like priceless paintings, furniture, antiques and so on. The famous one is the mirror and the chandelier. The Hazarduari Palace Museum is regarded as the biggest site museum of Archaeological Survey of India and has got 20 displayed galleries containing 4742 antiquities out of which 1034 has been displayed for the public. The antiquities include various weapons, oil paintings of Dutch, French and Italian artists, marble statues, metal objects, porcelain and stucco statues, farmans, rare books, old maps, manuscripts, land revenue records, palanquins mostly belonging to eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, a bamboo from Assam and so on.The style of the palace is Italian and was built in the 19th century and Greek (Doric) style. This was designed as a replica of the Buckingham Palace.

Howdy Farhat,
Fine panoramic view of this huge palace, with ornate Georgian architecture blending Greek/Roman with at the time modern 19th century materials. The three temple fronts are especially attractive.
Would enjoy visiting this fine museum some day.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers,

Hello Farhat,
welcome back! This is a simple and appealing symmetrical composition, a little titling to the left perhaps but very nicely complemented by the colours. Bright and subdued tones have been combined in a pleasing way, the palace and its grounds are sharp and interesting. The man also photographing ahead of you makes a great point of reference, placed exactly in the middle of the lane. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Un cadrage classique mais très efficace. On dirait bien que quelqu'un a eu la même idée que toi juste en avant.L'édifice est vraiment très beau sous cette lumière.

Hi Farhat,
The length of the alley is giving depth to the composition. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details of the Hazarduan Palace. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Namaskar dear Farhat
Welcome back to TE, we have missed you.
I like this series on this most majestic building. Things always seem a lot bigger in India for some reason. Beautiful perspective and I like the tiny person in front of you taking a photo, which gives us an excellent sense of scale.
Thanks for sharing, have a beautiful day

Namaste farhat,
the image keeps a good quality though to have been taken with your I-Phone.
I like this elegant colonial architecture, with its neo-classical style, in a framing which captures all the facade in a good wide angle.
The perspective of the path in the garden is deep, and people provides a nice vital sensation, specially the photographer in the middle of the framing.
A nice work.
Best regards,
Josep
