The Calcutta Tramways Company (1978) Limited (CTC) is a West Bengal, India, government-run company which runs trams in Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta) and buses in and around Kolkata. The Kolkata tram is the oldest operating electric tram in Asia, running since 1902.and also the only existing tram network in india.

This is a tram? When I first looked I thought it was a brightly coloured prison cell! But I see it is metal welded together not concrete blocks on closer inspection. It also reminded me of a football shirt!

Good morning Dwaipayan,
Blue is my favorite color, so this instantly got my attention. Great approach here to shoot this as a close up, the detail and texture are superb! I love the natural, worn and weathered look this shows, and it's also a great piece of the every day life subjects most people don't recognize like this that make for an attractive image. Interesting note to accompany the picture, I had no idea that this was the oldest operating electric tram in Asia...a great photo, and a learning experience...outstanding! :) Thanks for sharing the detail. simple,but thanks to these vivid,bright colors very strong image.I like the close-up view of the tram.Well composed and framed scene.And blue color here is simply addictive!

This is good close up work in bold, cheerful bright colours that certainly does make this portion of the tram stands out strikingly. I just love the effect and the feel which has a certain oldie world charm. Lovely work flows, simple but an excellent eye grabber. My congrats.
