Photographer's Note

I have captured Akasa Gangai, an enchanting 300 feet waterfall of river Aiyaru, at Kolli Hills (near Arappaleeshwarar temple). Kolli Hills is a major mountain range and is an outliner of the Eastern Ghats.

The waterfall is situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by the mountains at all sides. You have to climb down thousands of steps to reach the waterfalls. While climbing down you can enjoy the natural beauty of the valley and the vegetation-covered peaks. The cascade of silvery water touching and brushing the innumerable herbs which are abound in Kolli Hills keeps everyone spell bound and fresh with its herbal qualities.

Kolli Hills has been the top choice for nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts, trekking clubs and meditation practitioners among hill stations in Tamil Nadu. Best time to visit this hill station - throughout the year (except June to August). Kolli Hill range is 28 Km. long (from north to south) and 19 Kilometers wide (from east to west) and is located in Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu, India. The hill station is 80 Km. away from the nearest airport i.e., Trichinapalli, Tamil Nadu. The ghat road alone 26 Km. long with 70 hair-pin bends.
