And here is the Lord Ganesha, superbly executed by the sculptor, in the central niche of the south side of the temple. He is the god of auspicious beginnings and blesses all initiatives. Above him, only partially in the photo, are the yalis. Nearby, in a copse a few metres away, is the unique Ganesh lingam, rampant. All-in-all, the Surya-Vishnu Temple is a remarkable achievement.
