Photographer's Note
Jaisalmer Fort also known as Sonar Quila (Golden Fort) is the only remaining 'living' fort left in India and rises from the sands of the great Thar Desert like an elaborate sand castle. This picture was taken in the late afternoon as I made my way back to the hotel - the sky was an amazing colour and only added to the majesty of this incredible place.
Through a series of flight cancellations and 51 hours of travel to get there, I have to say; I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Great photo. The photo is really detailed and I do like the composition. The color is good but maybe a little too saturated looking in the upper left hand corner. Still a really great photo though. Good work.

Hi Tracey,
A very good view of this fort!
I like the composition choosen to present this image of India.
I t seems like of you compressed too much the file in the .jpg, some artifacts can be seen on the sky.

i agree that the colours are great. it's a nice contrast you've captured. the details on the fort are also well done and you've composed this shot very well. you should be pleased with this outcome. well done!

Good to see some Canadians who went to India ... well I was very much in India around the time you were there ... and so were five of my other friends from university ... but we were mostly in Himachal. Yeah .. we wanted to go to Rajasthan so bad but decided to do Himachal properly rather than trying to do too many places.
well looking at your photos makes me realize that we missed big times

Truly magnificient. The light here is fantastic. Colours, saturation and details are spot on. Very well done Tracey.
