Photographer's Note
Hampi, the capital of Vijayanagar Empire, offers us to see the best and worst of human nature.
On one hand, we see the best of human creativity in poetic stone sculptures and structures, a well planned city, and the human effort to create it.
On the other, the dark side - that of destruction and apathy.
On the day I was to return from Hampi, I was thinking along these lines, when I saw the sun setting like how you see in this picture.
I felt like it was a symbolic message sent by the heavens above - all good things come to an end - the sun set on the Vijayanagar Empire - and the sun set on that memorable trip.
But the sun will rise again, to show us new landscapes, new vistas, new sights, and life will go on...

I like this photograph, nice concept of shooting against the sun. I like that you've been able to capture the colours on the rock.
I think this photograph could have been better if it were tightly composed or maybe shot in potrait, but I'm not sure.

great shot.good POV.I had seen an exhibition on HAMPI-THE RUINED EMPIRE.The exhibition held in our city -kolkata.great place to shoot.but unfortunately too far frm kolkata.
