Hi Shaeri,

Awe inspiring scenic. The scale of the shrouded peak is brought home by including the soldier in the foreground. I sorta wish he hadn't noticed you as he looks to be trying to step out of your way.

tout simplement magnifique, quand on a de telles merveilles à portée des yeux, il ne faut surtout pas les rater.
Il doit faire bien, froid la-bas et ton mérite revient aussi dans ton enthousiasme à braver les conditions extrèmes pour faire des photos inédites.

Tu as fait là une très belle photo avec cet homme seul pour garder la montagne. J'aime les couleurs du premier plan et les nappes de brume qui font comme une écharpe au géant.

The inclusion of the jawan has brought in a different dimension here. Wonedrful atmosphere here. But what stands out really is the brave and enduring patriot. They stay awake so that we can sleep.

Hi Shaeri, what a great photo. Love the composition and the colors. What it makes this photo great is the inclusion of a person, it gives the photo some life. I like how the clouds are sow low, it gives a 3 dimensional effect.

Shaeri,
guarding the infinity, the vastness ... Weird feeling to be up there in isolation and guarding a ficticious thing like a line on the map - a line that can't be seen up in this altitude and certainly doesn't make a lot of sense up there.
The inclusion of the soldier is the trick of this shot providing the scale of the small man and the HUGE mountain in the backdrop.

Hi Shaeri,

With 5.500 meters the air must rarefy I think and the walk must be hard. For my part I think that I will have some difficulties !!! But this splendid landscape would make me forget them. I like much these clouds which surround the mountain and the character supplements the image well. Beautiful and interesting photograph, thank you Shaeri.

The mountain is beautiful, thanks a perfect sharpness and a great light. The scale is interesting because the peak doesn't seem to be huge, but I think it is. And this lost soldier seems unreal... Great place and moment.

I do not know where to concentrate...on the soldier, alone in the hostile territory or the amazing backdrop of the snowclad peak, partly hidden by the clouds. A lovely landscape as well as a documentary, well captured.

first of all let me say a big thank you for your kind words on my last picture, I really appreciate.
But now your picture. I'm so envious, Himalaya is one of the dream of my life beside Tanzania and I really hope one day to have the chance to visit this beautiful land. This picture is well composed and presented, with the soldier used as a scale to show us the majesty of the mountain in the background..amazing view with the edge covered in snow giving a beautiful contrast with the blue sky..a great feeling of freedom and silence.

What a fantastic view, almost unreal. That mountain really shows how big he is. And thanks for the soldier passing by with have perfect scaling in this landscape. 5500, i've never been higher than 4900, must be difficult to walk there if you are not used to that height. A great shot, i really like it, perfect work.

a most majestic view, showing us from quite close the beauty of these mountains...I like the mix of colors, the very deep blue sky (a tiny bit grainy ?), the snow capped top, the brown earth and the great light. This soldier is the cherry on the cake, gives the whole picture a sense of scale but also poses questions that are interesting, how does he feel about his assignment, where was he going, ...Well done!
