Photographer's Note
This is my first posting after a long long time. I was away for vacation in INDIA, and did not access internet for quite a while. I am very happy to be back and look forward to hearing from old friends and new.
This shot was taken on the way to Gurudongmar lake in North Sikkim. It was taken from a moving car. I was in the front seat, and was fortunate to see that the window of the car was not very dirty. The circular polarizer helped immensely too.
I must thank my good friend SAGARNEEL SENGUPTA for recommending this place to me. Thanks Sagarneel, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip.

Hallo Shaeri!
What a breathtaking view! The included "road" creates a great depth into the scenery. The snow/ice covered peak gives an incredible contrast to the remaining brown landscape. An impressive photo!
Greetings from Germany!

Hello Shaeri,
This morning I did visit your gallery and was thinking whether you are busy with your work or not! Now I understand that you were in a great journey!
Welcome back after a long time. Its always nice to see friends coming back now, after a long silence from Sabyasachi da, he is back and now you are also back in TE. And your comeback seems to be promising with a lot of pictures from this beautiful place. It seems that there is a lot of visit to Gurudongmar by TE members! :) Indro also was there recently.
It is a nice post Shaeri. The clouds look awesome. The grassy and sandy road, the clear blue sky are awesome! Hope to see frequent posts now from you.

sayan

Welcome back Shaeri. I'm sure we will be seeing some different images of your vacation. I think India is a fascinating place with lots of interest and colour just for us photographers. This was well taken considering the car was moving. The colours are nicely saturated and the exposure is spot on. The road or track with that nice curve really works to lead our eyes into the image.

Hello Shaeri,
Welcome back..!!
So you were at the same place before me...I am sure you had a great trip as I can see from this shot..wonderful perspective for this shot..I loved the way you have captured the road along with the peak and doing it from the vehicle is an achievement considering the kind thin air one experiences at that altitude..
Beautiful colours and very well presented..waiting to see more from you..!!

Hi Shaeri,
Yes I know the feeling coming home from a long trip ... home sweet home. Welcome back ... this landscape scene is certainly very different from the usual Indian daily life scene I see here in TE. The way you've incorporated the curving road is just fantastic as it leads ones focus towards the mountain peak. Well composed with very good image quality. Excellent work! Tfs

Hello Shaeri
Good to see you back...Do you know I was supposed to trek to Gurudongmar as well last month? Due to official commitments, I had to back out & now I see what I missed. I am seeing photographs of this amazing place also from Indro (Indoka28). You've composed this very well with the lead-in of the tyre tracks & the mountain in the BG looks like the top of an icecream cone. Superb blue sky as the backdrop. A Wow! Post & an apt title.
Best wishes

Hola Shaeri, extraordinario paisaje, los tonos definen muy bien la gama de colores del paisaje, y lo que más me gusta, es ldefinición de las nubes... es un excelente trabajo...

Namasthe Shaeri,
The title makes much justice to the photo. It's a stunning view, excellently captured.
The POV is very wise, with the road leading to the mountain and then to the left and infinity (heaven?). The colours and clarity are very attractive.
There is a funny thing, that I don't consider a flaw, well at contrary, it makes the photo even more interesting: the absence f anything to give scale sometimes gives me the illusion that the not higher than 10 meters.

Oh, Shaeri,
how did I miss this one?? It's wonderful. I like the way the the roadway leads into the shot and the colors are divine. It is beautifully divided and balanced with three distinct elements. The light and contrast on the snowy peak is PERFECT and I love the way the clouds surround the mountains. This is an awesome shot!! Thanks and warmest regards,

Hi Shaeri
Firstly – I like this image very much. Secondly – the view is so beautiful that I would like to go to mountains even now. Thirdly – I envy you admired the true beauty of Nature in these mountains... Eh then you had a lot of happiness to take this excellent photo through the window of the car ;). Well great composition, light, lovely colours and contrast between dark blue sky and bright brown grass and ground. I love the lazy clouds covered the snowy peak. I’m impressed by this image :).

Hi Shaeri,
I found this one which looks real nice in a fine light, intense colors and sharp details. The FG road justifies the title and also gives depth to the image. Magnificent landscape too!

Hello Shaeri,
The photos of the Himalayas just blow my mind! The base of this majestic peak is probably at the same elvation as the tallest Colorado peak (14,000+). You created a beautiful photograph and your polarizer really did wonders for this high altitude lighting. Great shot of this magical area!
