Photographer's Note
Haridwar also known as Hardwar is an important pilgrimage city in the Northen part of India. The River Ganges, after flowing for 253 kilometres from its source at Gaumukh at the edge of the Gangotri Glacier, enters the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time at Haridwar. Haridwar is also regarded as one of the seven holiest places of India. During my last visit while hanging out in the streets of this city, I saw these idols of Lord Krishna in beautiful golden color in one of the street shops.
