Photographer's Note
View of the Taj Mahal at dawn, just before sunrise. We went to see the Taj Mahal before daybreak and it turned out to be a great decision. There were only a handful of people there and almost no people to hassle you outside the gate. Plenty of time before the tour buses and day trippers arrive. And the view in the changing light as the sun rose was just beautiful. This shot was taken before sunrise, there was still dew on the ground and fog in the air.
I used NeatImage on this shot to remove the grain otherwise, just the usual minor Photoshop tweaks in contrast, color balance and sharpening.

An otherwise perfect shot spoiled by the tower on the left not being vertical.
See my workshop rendering of this image and how I did it.

Great composition, Mike. I like the atmosphere of your shot and the way you have framed it with the 'leafy' border. Good angle. Well seen.

Lovely mood, very pleasing light. I think that Jim's workshop correction on teh tower angle is helpful.

A peaceful shot. The foiliage at right highlights the rightmost towers perfectly. This might be more powerful had the top-left branches not been there.

I've been looking for something like this Mike. Fantastic picture. I was in early teens when I visited this place and I didnot have a goog picture. Thanks for sharing, The structure raises slightly away from us, but that gives a majestic look. I don't know there is any proof exist but I heard after building this masterpiece Emperor Shah Jahan ordered to cut the limbs and hands of all the artists who contributed to build this one. His point is no such construction should exist ever in the world. But I don't have any documents to prove this.
