Gurudwara Pathar Shaib a sikh shrine is located on the Kargil-Leh highway, which is totaly managed by the Indian Army. The priests here are actual soldiers who for brief intervals are deputed by army in shrine by rotation, and take care of the sikh rituals performed here. He was on of the soldiers deputed in the shrine and was about to leave for his first duty at the borders in a few days.
