Photographer's Note
old Manali house..
I posted another one some time ago if you you would like to see more...
in old Manali, lower level of the house is for the cows..
upper level is for the people...
these low arched wooden balcony goes all around the house...life goes on there with weaving, drying the loundry, relaxing etc as long as the weather permits...
turquoise and red seems to be the most preferred paint colors...
ps. I go and dig India pictures on and off...whenever I miss being there...

THe colors of India are very easily recognized. I like this blue-greem and the contrastic light. A very nice composition and interesting low shhoting angle. Excellent shot, Fusun, well done.

Fusun,
you won't believe but this balcony part of the house is VERY similar to those found in the Upper Town (Zagreb, Croatia).
They have houses built in rectangular shape with a hole in the central part which makes a yard (or courtyard) - and this type of balkony is built from within the inner part, with a view on a courtyard.

This is well seen and captured. I like the greens and the way the clothes hang out suggesting the inhabitants of the house who you can't see but only imagine. I saw these wooden houses when I went to Manali. Its nice that you could share this picture. Thanks.

Ma chère Fusun, Ton image est belle,j'aime bien ces couleurs vives avec toutes les réalités de la vie, du travail, suspendues à sécher à la fenêtre. Amicalement/jr

A nice shot with good colors. Still after reading your note I want to see more of the house... ;)
I guess also this could turn this into even more eyecatching framing by moving a bit more in or letting a bit more of the environment be shown.

No need to say that this is a perfect shot. Beyond it's perfection, it makes me feel as if I'm passing by looking up this house.
Thanks for sharing..

This one has so many beautiful details and structures, the "old" blue-green colour is wonderful also the angle chosen, great shot, Fusun !

Very good compo, again. Interesting colour, and very informative note. I like how the electric wire goes under the balcony just between people and cows ;)

Merhaba Fusun, some other of your India photos I like too, but this one is specially great for its architecture that I love. If you don't mind, I'll add it to my theme...
Ellinize saglik,
Cath.
