Photographer's Note

Chitkul is about 600km away from Delhi or 40km away eastwards from Tibet border. Population that day only about 35 people.

Chitkul (3450M )is the last village before the border post. If you can spot the ITBP barrack in a distance, it's the one with the red roof ( in the middle of the picture )

ITBP is Indo-Tibetan Border Police, set up mainly to protect border between two countries. ITBP conducts patrols to keep an effective vigil on inaccessible and unmanned areas on the border.

There's only us that night in the village. My camera stopped working during that holiday so he let me take pictures with his camera.

We wanted to go all the way to the barrack, but I was afraid to get shot haha. So we decided to sit on the huge boulder and had a picnic enjoying the view. I'm still cherish that day for one of my best moment in life.

Camera : Canon EOS 50D, Lens : 18-200m
