Photographer's Note
A paradise on earth ....
Chandra Taal (meaning the Lake of the Moon), or Chandra Tal, is situated at an altitude of about 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in the Himalayas. The name of the lake originates from its crescent shape. Situated in the Spiti part of the Lahul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh (India). The lake is accessible on foot from Batal as well as from Kunzum Pass from late May to early October. But we took a route which is slightly different, we trekked from the Barlacha pass (around 16500 feetabove sea level) in Lahul to Chandra Tal via Tokpo Gongma and Tokpo Yongma.

Hi Ayon,
Very nice shot of the lake. Nice blue sky and reflections on the lake. It would be good if you add some notes to your photo, mentioning the whereabouts of this place.
Regards,
Subho

Hello Ayon
Superb capture of blue lake with beautiful reflections of the surrounding mountains and wonderful sky, there is a certain crispness to the shot, it must be the cold mountain air. I like the FG feature of the rocks placed like stepping stones leading the eye's into the center of the picture. Great shot TFS
Cheers peter
