Photographer's Note
I loved that in walking around Delhi we would suddenly stumble upon treasures… How the history blends with Bollywood and motorcycles and schoolchildren… This was within several blocks of Qutab Minar, where we also found a deep dark well, a six year old self appointed guide, and the ubiquitous bunch of giggling school girls in their matching uniforms. I confess this was in color and I made it black and white and messed with the contrast to make it a little more dramatic. I KNOW THERE IS A DATE. I hate it too, but the only way I have to get rid of it would be to crop it out, throw off the balance of the whole thing. On the better side of things, I really like the horizontal lines and how they spit it up…

Hi Alyssa,
I just thought I would tell you that its easy enough to remove a date stamp with a simple bit of processing, for instance by using the clone tool in ps.
Theres plenty of these treasures in Delhi, too many even to keep in good condition I fear...
cheers, David
