Photographer's Note

Some Weeks back I stumbled upon a famous story of an One Eyed Sultan. When I saw this man it reminded me of that story.

He was without a leg also. He lost both in the battle.
But he had a desire to have a painting of himself.

The first artist was beheaded as he made a nice painting of the Sultan with both eyes and legs. Sultan felt it being mocked at.

The second artist too was killed as he showed disrespect by painting the truth One legged and one eyed Sultan.

Finally they brought in a third artist. He had heard of the story of the artist who tried to flatter the Sultan and was killed, and the one who told the truth and was also put to death. He went to work.
When he unveiled his painting, it showed the Sultan sitting on a horse and leading his troops in battle. To solve the problem of the leg, he showed the whole one facing the front side of the horse and the missing leg on hidden side. It was therefore difficult to know whether the Sultan had a leg or whether it was missing from that angle.
However, because the missing eye was on the side of the whole leg, it would have shown. The artist resolved the problem by showing the Sultan peering through a single lens field binocular, thus covering the missing eye. The Sultan was very happy with the painting.

Got my Sultan in Jama Masjid. He just offered his Namaj Prayers and was returning home. That sharp gaze horrified me for a second. I thought me and my camera are both going to be broken now. The Sultan would had me beheaded too only for doing his portrait. :)

(PS: The borders have some problems while editing. I saw it after uploading. I regret for that)
