Digha is a famous beach to Kolkatans and others... basically for its powerful waves, for its delicious sea foods, for its beach market, and for convenience. it is a four to five hours drive from Kolkata. to me, Digha market at night is like a place out of some fairy-tale... sparkling, full of life... so many people.. travelers basically, but still never crowded... the charm consists of the roar of waves, the wet sweet sea breeze, people of variety, happiness, food and low cost materials...
