Photographer's Note
We often encounter street child in the local streets.Sometime we take snaps of them, sometime we ignore them, sometime we neglect, sometime we don't care...
And also , across the world we take picture of them and also win big awards for it..But most of us.have we ever asked their names? Have we ever asked thier likings..? have we ever asked what they want..? I don't think so..
So It's my appeal..
Let's think about them...
Pensons à eux ...
Pensiamo a loro ...
Lassen Sie uns darüber nachdenken ...
Vamos a pensar en ellos ...
Have a good day !

Hello Arijit,
It is a pity that the kid has to feed himself and the little child on his lap being on streets begging. . it is heart breaking. The responsibility is too much for this little child. You are right that we only use them for taking snaps and move on.
I like the calm face of the kid. I am not even sure that someone is using him to make money. I have heard stories like that.
A very beautiful shot with so much emotions.

Hello dear Arijit,
This is a very difficult photograph to comment on. We all know that “poverty” is one of the many problems facing the world. But in order for us to discuss the problem, we must first know the precise context. For example, we don’t know the exact circumstance concerning those two children. Are they really brothers? Where are they from? How do they really live? There are too many unknowns. Without knowing the exact circumstances, it is almost impossible to make comments. And if we are to make comments on such image as this one without the context, we could only be making irresponsible commentaries. So, you need to really think about them. Simply pointing your camera at someone perhaps is not a proper approach to address the problem. This is not a criticism, but please think about it as a friendly suggestion.
With my very best regards,
Have a very fruitful weekend, Arijit

Hi Arijit.
A superb portrait with these children, a beautiful expression of the older child, with that smart look that you look carefully, holding in his arms, I guess the little brother.
Impact a little, empty plate in his hand, asking to be offered something, it's a very good picture and impressive.
Have a nice weekend.
Best regards.
Luis.

Hello Arijit,
a really hard scene with the little boy with the baby in his head to go begging in the streets of Kolkata.I like the vertical and the B/W format as the realization of the daily life of the city.

Hi Arijit,
Very good shot with two children.... nice choice of B/W with soft tones... very good editing... like his smile...
But you have cut his head...very tight framing... you should have let more space in top of the image...
Tfs! regards,
Madhumita.

Hello Arijit,
Even if the quality of the photo is not the best, but the subject and the image you have captured speek louding than many photos that just look pretty without much meaning including many of my owns.
We encountered many of such situation, many would want to help but at some point we feel helpless, there are so many of them. I guess every time we give a little that is still better than nothing. I certainly hope the boy has brighter future.
A very thought provoking shot.

Hello Arijit, Firstly I like the PP work here, it gives it a timeless look & draws sympathy from the viewer. The biggest problem I have with beggars on the streets is trying to sort the needy from the greedy & lazy. Nice work,

Bonjour, Arijit,
Difficile de ne pas être touché par cette prise de vue.
Malgré la pauvreté manifeste, le regard de ce jeune enfant garde une pointe d'espoir.
Merci pour ce partage.
Amitiés.
