Photographer's Note
This is just a part of the rock-cut Jain sculptures that can be found along the road that leads to the Fort of Gwalior. These impressive sculptures have been made between the 7th - 15th centuries. The fort is magnificent and it's really worth to stop on the way and watch this artwork.

Hi Ana,
Excellent photo with nice rock sculptures. It remind me to Petra in Jordan. Almost the same style and same brown rocks.
Very well done.

Hello Ana,
It's a beautiful formation of sculptures and very well presented from your low POV that suggests that the statues are quite big. There is no figure present to show the size of the statues though.

Hola Ana, Interesting sculptures in the rock. I liked the Jain Temples in Rajasthan, they are really fantastic. So I am sure it is well worth visiting too.

Bonjour Ana,
Je ne connaissais pas cet endroit. C'est fantastique ces sculptures dans le flanc rocheux de la montagne. La contre plongée donne encore plus d'ampleur à la chose.

Hi Ana,
honestly, except documentary value, the photo is quite simple. But it was impossible to expect more! That what is the core mission of TE - is fulfilled. So I can not say anything more except - Great!

Hello Ana,
A wonderful view upwards and an excellent and impressive presentation of these sculptures, smaller and giant ones.
Compared to the surrounding rough rock the sculptures have an attractive pinkish colour.
Since we see no visitors, we get a feeling that this is a discovery you made.
Best regards, Paul

Superb capture of these sculpture, seen from a great, low POV, that makes them look even more impressive. Good sharpness for the details and fine colours.

Hola Ana.
Una composicion que me encanta, pues la India es el pais donde mas disfrute, en mis viajes, Impresionantes estas esculturas realizadas directamente sobre la pared rocosa.
Excelente claridad, colores, nitidez y perspectiva.
Que tengas un buen dia.
Saludos muy cordiales.
Luis.

Hi Ana
well, this was sort of unexpected.
but i love it.
so was this a planned subject to photograph, or did you happen to just 'find' it.
and i take it you're not allowed to go right up to the sculptures?
very cool subject from India.
cheers
